We have numerous Telugu channels and probably more to come - MAA TV, ETV, ETV2, TV9,NTV, Vanitha.
Of all these TV9, NTV are the NEWS channels.

The print media for the Telugu's- Eenadu, Sakhi, Vartha, Andrapraba, Andrajyothi.

And, I havent yet included those numerous other channels, NDTV, Star News, Headlines Today.

SO, whats with the list here?
Tune into any of them during the American elections, we had an overdose of the Obama., the contestants it was just endless.
Madonna divorcing, Big Boss, Scams this is the prime time news we get.

Where are those numerous Indians who are killed in the US and the UK. Every week there's some news or the other about a bright kid losing their lives. So many lives being lost and not a whimper, whisper in the media?

They badger celebrities with all inane questions. They go to great lengths and effort to get us the very very important news on where these very important people partied, played, cried, drank.

So why the SILENCE NOW?

Is anyone investigating? Is anyone speaking out?

Overall 20k people were murdered in US this year. Out of those 20 people are of India. I feel that these crimes are not because of origin.

I don't think it's worth of whole nation's attention or concern.

Obama's win is a historic moment and obviously caught everybody's attention.

I vehemently disagree.
When people who are in their prime of their youth and these are the most productive years of their lives and above all they being Indians, are murdered; and all whats being done is just a small report.
What I raised in the post was not about Western media, but our very own homegrown ones. And that too the vernacular ones as well.

Yes, Obamas win was attention grabbing. But, thats no excuse for whats happening for over an year.

Guess , theres more to our incompetence, chaltha hai attitude and "this too will pass" attitude, than we think!!!
