The following articles just instills a pride in being an Indian.

How many of us really flaunt our indian roots?
I dont think not many do!!
Yeah and its so obvious in the media, where the presenters speak in accented Hindi, Telugu, Tamil..., where they wear ill fitting western wear (not that am against western wear, but doesnt it have to be comfortable atleast n look appropriate for the content that is being broadcast?)

to be contd....

Groupism

http://www.spring.org.uk/2007/11/why-groups-and-prejudices-form-so.php

That was an interesting read.
Made me start pondering on why we prefer groups and try to make one.
Well its easier and 'safer' if its a we instead of an I. It takes immense courage to go the I way.
Whereas we arent wholly responsible in a group. The group takes the blame as well as the compliments.

Think about all the groups you are part of or you see in a single day. Its surprising how many we come across ... and ofcourse on what traits was this group made.
Lunch group, commute to office group, .... lots of em.

As a second thought ... how the collective decisions even when wrong seem to be right at that point of time and we follow em, sometimes even if we dont like what we are doing.
