Busy doing something..
mobile rings
I take the call.

Caller: ma'am do u want xyz bank card .
Me: No

and 'caller' hangs up.
No thanks , sorry for disturbing.... just nothing.
Before they teach call center people anything , they should be taught about basic manners.
Being polite is more important than their weird accents.

It happened with me once, while in conf room telephone rang and i put it on speaker hoping for some colleagues looking for conf room. A female voice asked "Sir, do you want XXXX credit card. I smiled to myself and said, yeah we are 14 ppl here right from project manager till engineer please do stop by here and we will take your xxxx credit cards" she apolozised and hung up. I wonder how they get all these numbers.

Being polite or nice is supposed to be out, being bitchy and ill-mannered is supposed to mean you are cool.
Go figure.
Good manners are not considered important enough anymore which makes me want to drum into everyone who is ill-mannered a few basic lessons in etiquette!
